The Tamarisk®320 redefines the compact class of thermal cameras by drastically reducing SWaPc requirements. The Tamarisk®320 uses a 320 x 240 Vanadium Oxide (VOx) microbolometer with 17 μm pixel-pitch, Long-Wave Infrared (LWIR) technology. Advanced image processing algorithms, such as DRS’ Image Contrast Enhancement (ICE), provide a superior image for any thermal imaging application.
Weighing as little as 33 grams, occupying less than 30 cubic centimeters, and drawing as little as 850 mW of power, the Tamarisk®320 redefines the compact class of thermal cameras. The first 320 x 240 Vanadium Oxide (VOx) microbolometer of its kind, it combines industry-leading 17 μm pixel-pitch, Long-Wave Infrared (LWIR) technology with patented advanced absorber superstructure to provide greater sensitivity, improved detection, and unparalleled thermal imagery. The Tamarisk® 640
With a 640 x 480 Vanadium Oxide (VOx) microbolometer, the Tamarisk®640provides a new level of performance while maintaining a small size, low weight, and minimal power consumption. Utilizing DRS’ proprietary Image Contrast Enhancement (ICE) algorithms, the Tamarisk®640 provides an outstanding image for all infrared imaging applications.
The Tamarisk®640 is the latest edition to the Tamarisk® family of 17 µm uncooled thermal imaging camera modules. With four times the resolution of the class-leading Tamarisk®320, the Tamarisk®640provides superior performance while maintaining a small size, low weight, and minimal power consumption. The Tamarisk®640 uses DRS Infrared’s uncooled, highly sensitive Vanadium Oxide (VOx) detector, incorporating patented absorber technology to capture infrared energy in the 8 to 14 micrometer spectrum. Overall performance is enhanced with improvements to image quality, dynamic range, pixel saturation logic, multi-mode image contrast enhancement, and 24-bit RGB color.

Field Of View (FOV) Calculator
Use this tool to determine the number of "pixels on target" given a particular product, lens selection, and range. The FOV Calculator presents the number of pixels on screen for a given subject, whether a dog, person, truck, or airplane, as well as maximum ranges for subject detection, recognition, and identification.
