Derek Newsom, COO of Liteye Systems, Inc. Named a Colorado Titan 100 C-Level Executive

Centennial, CO, April 22,2022.   Liteye Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce that one of its executive team has been named a Colorado Titan 100 executive. Derek Newsom, COO with Liteye was chosen by the Titan 100 program, The award is presented by Titan CEO and headline sponsor Wipfli LLP and recognizes Colorado’s Top 100 CEO’s & C-level executives each year.  According to Titan CEO’s press release and President, Jaime Zawmon, “These passionate and driven Titans of Colorado industry exemplify the true definition of leadership. The 2022 Titan 100 Honorees were selected by an independent committee that evaluated over 200 C-Level executives for the top honor of being one of Colorado’s 100 Titans of industry, who have proven to demonstrate exceptional leadership, vision, and passion.  Derek’s nomination, corporate background and significant accomplishments over his long career, and influence within the community of Colorado executives have proven to warrant this prestigious accolade. 

Derek joined Liteye Systems in January 2018 as chief operations officer with over 20 years of experience in high-tech and fast-moving markets.  He has held various senior level roles as a VP, CEO, CMO, COO and Board member positions in both large and small business corporations, including Liteye where he serves as our COO and member of the Board of Directors.  Derek shares that “One of the most interesting and exciting times of my career has been my COO role with Liteye Systems.  Not only is Liteye’s counter drone and multi-mission defense systems technology cutting edge and exciting, but it has also been about the company’s vision which focuses on providing defense systems and services to support the warfighter who defend life and critical infrastructure that drives the synergies of our TEAM.   Helping the company to strategically grow and scale its operations (and even overcome challenges brought on by COVID) over the last few years has been really fulfilling.
