The MDX – Multi-Domain Explorer is a man-portable, multi-domain sensor package that employs 3D radar technology combined with HD EO/IR and cooled MWIR sensors to provide unmatched air and ground surveillance, target acquisition, and tracking for its tactical size and weight.
Building on the success of its battle-proven TRL-9 rated C-UAS technologies and platforms, Liteye Systems has developed the next generation multi-domain ground-based, man-portable, -air-and-ground surveillance, target acquisition, and UAS defeat system. The full MDX system capability offers RF surveillance and detection, 3D radars, HD EO/IR optical surveillance, target tracking, a laser target designation capability, and omnidirectional and/or directional Electronic Attack in a small, man-portable, or platform integrated package that can be remotely operated and controlled by a single operator. The system is designed to be deployed and operational within five (5) minutes after the equipment is unpacked. The MDX components are packed and transported in two (2) man-portable backpacks or cases for rapid employment in the dismounted configuration. In the vehicle-mounted configuration, the MDX can be integrated into a rapid response vehicle, e.g., RZR, for agile on-the-move mission capability. The MDX provides a much-needed tactical sensor to complicated mission areas where ground force personnel must see and react fast to various targets on the ground and above the horizon.
